Higher Folds Community centre was originally opened on 22nd April 1976 and was reopened on 12th December 2006 following a £500,000 extension and refurbishment. The centre is now fully DDA compliant

The centre is a registered charity, and is now managed by a management board made up of volunteers and professional advisors.
